• Upon arrival, you may be required to undergo health screening that include temperature checks (for fever) and other screening measures if necessary. You may also be required to fill out a health declaration form that asks about your current health status and any recent exposure to any communicable disease.

• Passengers traveling out of the country will be required to abide by the particular health-related requirements of the transit and destination country. Stay updated as you plan to travel.

• Yellow fever vaccination is done across the selected Points of Entry/Exit and other designated facilities.
• Vaccination should be done at least 10 days before travel.
• Card replacement is also done if required.
• Requirements include valid Identification documents.

• COVID-19 testing and vaccination services are available at selected Health care facilities and Points of Entry.

Regularly check the Ministry of Health Kenya website to stay updated on travel advisories. Registering with your embassy or consulate in the country you're visiting is also advisable.

Notification should be done to Port health officers at least 24 hours prior to the arrival, transit or departure of the human remains.
All human remains shall be accompanied by the following documents for health clearance:

• Embalming certificate stating that the dead body/human remains have been embalmed indicating the chemical used.
• Death certificate in English or Swahili.
• Personal identification documents of the deceased.
• A letter from Kenyan diplomatic representatives, at the country where the death occurred.
• Burial transit permit or cremation certificate.
• Letter of approval from the Director general of health in case the death was as a result of a notifiable disease.

All Human remains should be placed in a hermetically sealed (airtight and waterproof) casket.
